Expand your mind, your horizons, and your life experience as you discover another culture, volunteer, study, and develop your Jewish identity before heading off to college. Young Judaea Year Course, the original gap year in Israel, gives you the opportunity to step out into the world, gain valuable life experience and skills, and begin the transition to independence.

Israel is your classroom  come and explore. You'll earn up to 30 college credits while learning Hebrew, participating in life-changing volunteer activities, and living with peers from the United States, Israel, and around the world.

You will spend half of the program in Jerusalem, where you will be immersed in university level courses. You will challenge your mind and explore all sides of Jerusalem, and ancient city steeped in history. The other half of the program will be spent in Tel Aviv-Yafo, where you will concentrate your time on volunteering and interning in the community.

Year Course is an intensive group experience. Participants live with their group for most of the year in fully furnished apartments traveling, studying and volunteering together, enabling life-long friendships to be formed.
