Woza is a nonprofit that offers international service trips, specifically design for high school and college soccer players using the game of soccer as a vehicle for connection across cultures and social impact. Providing an immersive cultural experience for students in communities vastly different from their own, Woza empowers its students to connect with locals in each host country. Using soccer to break down cultural barriers and develop an appreciation for other cultures, Woza Students build friendships with new teammates of all backgrounds. Our students build connections with peers who live in different cultures and conditions. Through soccer, all differences are dropped at the edge of the field and pure enjoyment takes over.
Woza strives to develop young community leaders and inspire students to continue giving back to their own communities and the communities we work closely with abroad. Our students return home with a deeper appreciation for diversity, and an urgency to help their own communities.
