Shamwari Game Reserve Conservation Project, South Africa

Based on the Shamwari Game Reserve, this worthwhile project organized by Working Abroad Projects provides volunteers with a unique insight into the conservation efforts in South Africa. Participants will carry out a wide range of activities, including game monitoring (rhinos, elephants, and other predators present in the park), community outreach, landscape-scale restoration and conservation to ensure habitats remain pristine, and general reserve maintenance (nature walks and anti-poaching patrols). Volunteers interested will undergo a ranger field guide training program. Internships are also open.
