Join this program either as a volunteer or intern, and contribute to efforts focused on elephant conservation in Sri Lanka. You'll assist with a broad range of activities, including carnivore research, in a national park. The Elephant Conservation volunteer project aims to lessen the impact of human-wildlife conflict within the region to protect Asian elephant and carnivore species, as well as the crops and livelihoods of local farmers. Your duties could include, but not limited to the following: - Elephant foraging transect - Elephant distribution and ranging - Human-elephant conflict surveys - Carnivore Research - Small animal diversity study As a note, there will be no interaction with any wild animals.
