An educational partner of Western Washington University, Wildlands Studies have been offering environmental field-based courses for more than 36 years. These are ideal platforms to raise advocacies on wildland and wildlife conservation while earning credit transferrable to home institutions. Our field projects give students the opportunity to become part of expert backcountry study teams as associates. They typically assist with the study of environmental policy and impact assessment, as well as the relationship between culture and environments.
Wildlands Studies welcomes participants from across the US and Canada. Their group generally makes up undergraduate students and recent graduates looking to strengthen their CV with experience in field research for graduate school or professional purposes. Hence, we strive to give them academic and first-hand experiences related to environmental stewardship and conservation.
