VN Abroad's programs are located in the Zona Norte (northern zone) of Costa Rica. This part of Costa Rica is rural and offers numerous opportunities to immerse yourself in the culture and community while exploring Costa Rica's hidden treasures. It is about 1.5 hours from the Liberia airport, 4 hours from the San Jose airport, 2 hours from Pacific beaches, and near numerous national parks and protected areas.
