Excellent Spanish language course
May 11, 2021by: Kim Wiebke - United StatesProgram: Face to Face Spanish Lessons in ColombiaMy husband and I enrolled in classes a week at a time for two hours a day each. The teacher Biviana was absolutely awesome. She is a native Spanish speaker and knew so many nuances to the English language that the lessons were seamless. We particularly were appreciative of her enthusiasm for teaching Spanish and having patient conversation with us during the lesson. Each lesson was the right mix of student-driven interest/need and teacher-prepared lessons and concepts. She had print outs and mixed media tools to keep the lessons varied and interesting. I would’ve loved to stay longer and keep the lessons going; it was definitely the most Spanish learning I’ve done in a long time and it was awesome. As for the facilities and administration... the classrooms are above a nice coffee shop and central to the Poblado area. The rooms were clean and organized, which is helpful for a learning environment. There was AC available. The administrator Frederico was absolutely essential to our schooling and enjoyment of the city. He was so helpful in orienting us in directions we needed and generally helpful information about Medellin. His patience with our slow Spanish conversation was also so helpful. We had private lessons which were awesome. Though my guess is small group lessons would also be really engaging with Biviana. The cost of the class was definitely fair and you get a good value from the exchange. I highly recommend this school.
The only danger is wanting to stay
May 09, 2021by: Jane Fraser - United KingdomProgram: Face to Face Spanish Lessons in ColombiaI have been coming to Colombia and studying with Valley for a while now. At first I started a mixture of group and private classes with the school as an absolute beginner after trying to get by with a phrase book - and in no time I was able to communicate in Spanish. Working through the levels is satisfying and in due course you realise that you are just picking up a lot more and using the dictionary less. The school has teachers who are all highly experienced at teaching all the levels & grades , from beginners A1 to high intermediate B2 and it can also offer more advanced curriculum options. The school is able to offer the times I prefer even accommodating changes at short notice. The school is the best anywhere and It has given me a lot of confidence. I now live in Medellín and run my own business, as have other students of Valley. The only danger here in Colombia is wanting to stay.......
Excellent Spanish teachers
May 08, 2021by: Gordon Wells - United KingdomProgram: Face to Face Spanish Lessons in ColombiaI have studied in Valley Spanish for 4 months and the lessons have been super comprehensive. You can tell teachers are really passionate about their jobs and I feel that my Spanish has improved a lot. Couldn’t recommend more Valley to people wanting to improve their Spanish Skills, you won’t regret coming to this school, I surely haven’t.
