Unforgettable Journey
March 18, 2025by: Danni Conn - United StatesProgram: USAC KOREA: Seoul - Undergrad Studies at Korea UniversityThis opportunity gave me many valuable life lessons. For my first time studying abroad and being on an airplane, I really took it to the next level. Yes, it was intimidating but I'm not one to turn away from challenges. I'm so glad that I didn't because I met so many wonderful people, learned Korean culture and language, and got to have life altering experiences through it all. Whenever I share my story I always tell them to "Go and do it! You won't regret it!" I will forever be thankful for all the support I had and the friends I made along the way. The best part of it all is that I am still in contact with the people I met and we plan to see each other here soon!!! South Korea really opened my eyes and helped me see the world through a different lens. So take that leap, face those challenges, and explore the world!!

Life on the Goldy
March 16, 2025by: Ardenne Chevrolet - United StatesProgram: USAC Australia: Gold Coast/Brisbane - Undergraduate CoursesI absolutely adored my semester on the gold coast. Living in the student apartments was definitely the way to go, I met so many people my age, and they throw LOTS of fun events. There is a tram that takes you so many places around the city, I definitely didn't feel like I needed a car. The night life is so fun. The best part was how easily I made friends and felt like I meshed in with the local students. The friends I made I will stay in touch with for the rest of my life. I went during the end of February, and the weather was hot, but it was the perfect time to go in my opinion because it started to cool down in about April/May. When I was trying to decide where to go in Australia, I did some research but honestly picking the gold coast was a bit of a guess and hope situation. I am so thankful I picked the gold coast, it was the most perfect environment and best time ever.

I wanted to go abroad again, and figured it was a great opportunity to travel as a college student. Many of my friends who had done programs were really happy they went, so they absolutely pushed me in the right direction.

When I was younger my family and I moved a lot, however I had never been outside the U.S. When I was getting ready to apply for colleges, my high school had provided information on studying abroad which sparked my interest, so when choosing a college I made sure my school had a study abroad program. I was always interested in learning about new cultures and different languages, so studying abroad to me always seemed like a great way to learn about both and immerse yourself in a foreign country.
