Gwangju Summer!
by: Jennifer Magill - United StatesProgram: USAC Korea: Gwangju - Undergraduate CoursesI loved being able to go to Gwangju last summer! I met so many people from around the world, and have made so many connections with people I never would have been introduced to had I not studied abroad here. I really enjoyed Chonnam's campus, and how it reflects the recent history of the democratic uprising that took place in Gwangju in the 1980s.I like that CNU has a buddy system program built in where students at Chonnam help international students navigate the campus and Korea. I still keep in touch with my CNU buddies :) I am so grateful to my home university in the US, Chonnam University in Gwangju, and USAC for helping me achieve my dream of studying abroad in Korea, making friends from around the world, and experiencing life in another country :)
I had a wonderful time.
by: Trevor Rowe - United StatesProgram: USAC New Zealand: Auckland - Full CurriculumNew Zealand was a blast. Being put in contract with all of the other students studying abroad at the university I attended was a game changer. We all met within the first week and that allowed us to create a big group of students from all around the world that could hang out and do activities. I made some really good friends in this group and we spent the whole semester abroad going and doing fun activities. New Zealand is not a huge country and I was able to explore a lot of different areas of the country. For spring break 9 of us rented camper vans and toured the whole south island for two weeks; this was definitely the best part of the semester. I visited many beautiful beaches and hiked multiple (small-ish) mountains. I will always miss the new zealand meat pies that were available at every corner store.
Best Semester of My Lifre
by: Kathleen Steiner - United StatesProgram: USAC Spain: Alicante - European & Mediterranean StudiesMy time studying abroad was absolutely incredible! Alicante was breathtaking, offering a perfect mix of culture, history, and adventure. But what truly made my experience unforgettable was the amazing staff and professors. They were not only brilliant and knowledgeable but also so incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely invested in my success. Their passion for teaching and dedication to helping students was evident every day. I felt truly supported throughout my entire journey, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to learn from and work with. One of the highlights of the experience was the many group activities we had. These activities not only brought us closer as a group, but they also allowed us to explore Spain in a deeper way. From day trips to scenic towns to big cities, every moment felt like an opportunity to learn and bond. Luis and Veronica made sure we got the most out of every experience, making it all the more special. It was truly an experience of a lifetime!

I chose to study in Lüneburg, Germany for a few different reasons. Primarily, learning German has always been a goal of mine. Unfortunately, my high school didn’t offer German classes, and classes at my university were limited. I decided that the best and only way for me to learn German was to be completely immersed in the language. Second, as an International Business major specializing in Europe, I knew that living in Germany could be a major asset to me in my career down the road. Finally, my paternal grandfather was German, so I’ve always felt connected to German culture and wanted to explore the land of my heritage.

I chose to study in Pau, France because I have been studying French since I was a freshman in high school and am a French minor. I’ve always loved learning about the French culture and wanted to experience it first-hand. I also was able to practically complete my minor and really improve my French in just one semester.

I wanted to go abroad again, and figured it was a great opportunity to travel as a college student. Many of my friends who had done programs were really happy they went, so they absolutely pushed me in the right direction.
