An Unforgettable Experience

Living with a host family gave me a deep, personal connection to Spanish culture, and the field trips organized by our program advisor were incredibly fun and well-planned. I learned so much, gained confidence, and grew in ways I never expected. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for an unforgettable study abroad experience.

I immediately felt welcomed and safe being a part of USAC. I made so many friends, loved my host family and learned so much from my classes and traveling around Costa Rica. I only did one summer semester but I wish I did two. Having a couple trips pre-planned as a group made it easy to feel included and bond as a group. All the professors were accommodating and understanding, giving us the best learning experience possible. I cannot say enough about how much I loved my experience.
I had the time of my life!

Loved it! Our apartment was very nice as well. Located right on the water and very clean. There is honestly nothing I would change about this course.

When I was younger my family and I moved a lot, however I had never been outside the U.S. When I was getting ready to apply for colleges, my high school had provided information on studying abroad which sparked my interest, so when choosing a college I made sure my school had a study abroad program. I was always interested in learning about new cultures and different languages, so studying abroad to me always seemed like a great way to learn about both and immerse yourself in a foreign country.
