The International English School (TIES) opened its doors to students in 1995. It was started by Tania Copeland, who still manages the school today. As the second English language school established in Western Cape, our reputation has grown internationally and attracted students from different parts of the globe. Our school is in Somerset West, a small town in Cape Town surrounded by numerous facilities and amenities. These include dance schools, restaurants, coffee shops, offices, supermarkets, and more.
We provide a broad range of courses for all types of students - for those who wish to improve their communication skills; those who want to study Business English for work purposes; and those who prefer to combine learning with fun activities. We also offer a TEFL course for teachers without certification yet wish to pursue a career in non-English countries. Our classes are led by qualified TEFL teachers who share their professional experience, expertise, and skills. They follow a systematic method to carefully assess the appropriate approach for each student.
