Regarding the online call about finding employment in TEFL, Pretty much perfect, answers were answered to all questions and in detail going above and beyond. if I had to critique, I'd argue the section on how to find the job (e.g. linkedin) was a tad rushed, but still provided highly useful information (Only commented because it's useless if I only say it was good!). Emos was very professional with his explanations and with guidance for how to navigate the online and physical market.

The teaching practicum with Michelle Benson was great. The material was succinct and loaded with various ways to teach English as someone who is not new to teaching, but new to teaching a language. Michelle made the experience fun as well as informative. I also appreciate her encouraging words since I was actually quite nervous at the start.

Great experience completing the 10-hour Virtual TEFL course. The tutor, Michelle Benson, absolutely made the course. She has such positive energy, is incredibly encouraging, and explains everything very clearly. The lessons are well structured and especially helpful for people who have never taught before. One thing worth noting is that the "10-hour" course actually consists of 7 hours of live teaching (2 × 3.5-hour sessions). The remaining 3 hours are allocated to preparing and completing the homework. My advice would be to leave at least a day's gap between the sessions if possible. For people who work full-time, it can be quite difficult to find enough time to prepare properly for the following day's lesson.

I have just finished the 180 hour Level 5 course. I found the material really good and it was straightforward enough to work through. The weekly Zoom meetings were really useful whenever I was stuck and needed extra support with a few of the topics. Whether you are coming from a teaching background or have never taught English before, I would definitely recommend doing one of the TEFL Ireland courses. My next step is starting the 30 hour teaching online course so I feel more confident and ready for teaching online.

I completed the TEFL Institute 30-hour Teaching IELTS Preparation course and I would wholeheartedly recommend it. Everything in the online module is straightforward to work through, and it covers far more than the essentials for teaching an IELTS Preparation class, since it also offers plenty of useful links and suggestions for extra reading if you want to build on what you learn. The fact that it is online was a real plus for me, because I could plan my own timetable and move through the material at whatever speed suited me.

I am updating this review now that I have completed the course. It is a really solid program with loads of content and helpful resources. I have not started teaching yet, but everything included in the 180 hour course has left me feeling properly prepared, from the activities and games to guidance on classroom management and different teaching styles and methods, and so on. There are weekly zoom classes you can attend, although there is no in-person component to the course I bought when it comes to the teaching part itself. Everyone at the TEFL Institute was extremely friendly, supportive, and fast to reply. I used the chat on their website and Tracy answered all of my questions. They also offer the option of a phone call with an advisor, and I spoke with Sórcha O' Connell. She was a huge help in working out which course made the most sense for my situation, since I was looking for something that would qualify me to work abroad in Europe.

I have completed two TEFL Institute courses, the TEFL Certificate and the IELTS Preparation course, and I found both of them really engaging and put together to a very high standard. As an ESL teacher, I have gotten a lot of practical use out of what I learned, and I would absolutely recommend the Institute to anyone wanting to earn a teaching qualification, since they let you move through the material at your own speed and fit it around whatever timeframe works best for you.

I joined the webinar about working in Italy run by Jessica and Walter, and I came away with plenty of helpful details I would not have known without it. In general, the TEFL Institute of Ireland has continued to be really supportive, even once I had completed the courses.

I chose the 180 hour TEFL course in the first place for two reasons: the cost and the standard of what was on offer. Now that I have finished it, I can honestly say it felt well worth what I paid. The course itself goes into a huge amount of detail and it does not miss much, taking you through everything involved in teaching English, from writing and grammar right through to pronunciation. The modules stay interesting too because you are not stuck with one format. It mixes audio, video and written content, which helps you stay focused and keep your momentum. Each module finished with an assessment that combined multiple choice with open ended questions. That part really helped the content sink in and it pushed me to read a bit more around the topics that had been covered. On the support side of things, I have to say Tefl Ireland were great. It is easy to get in touch through the web chat or by calling, and I never felt like I was waiting long. They were always willing to talk through anything I asked about, whether it was the assessments, the deadlines or the course content. If you are looking for a properly recognized TEFL course without paying a fortune, this is the one I would pick. It also looks like they offer strong support afterwards for finding work online and overseas, with articles, webinars and job alerts.

Michelle Benson Michelle was such a great tutor for the 10-hour teaching methodology course. She made everything feel easy to follow and actually enjoyable, which isn’t always the case with online learning. She’s super patient, explains things clearly, and creates a really relaxed space where you feel comfortable asking questions. You can tell she genuinely cares about helping her students understand and improve. At the end of the course I felt very happy and confident.

I only finished the 180 hour Level 5 TEFL course very recently, actually within the past week or thereabouts, and I can genuinely say I am full of praise and deeply grateful to our tutor, Laura. What made the difference for me was the combination of her experience and her kindness, which made everything feel far less daunting, and probably saved the whole thing from becoming a fairly major obstacle to getting the course completed. In my view, there is no question that Laura is a huge asset, both to the students one on one and to the TEFL Institute in general.

Since I was asked to leave a review and to acknowledge the people who helped along the way, this is how I would sum up my time completing the Level 5 course (180h). I actually had limited contact with the TEFL Team because I mostly kept to myself and worked through the material independently. That said, on the occasions I did reach out, the exchanges were polite and professional (Ola, Rachel, Jacob). Rachel, as the assigned Tutor, replied to my emails promptly and in a warm tone, and Lucy, my assessor, had obviously gone through my tests properly and returned them with multiple written notes and suggestions. As for the course content, I think it points to quite a few external resources, and those were genuinely useful and worth exploring. For anyone who is curious and open minded, a lot of what is included can be thought provoking. The drawback for me, from a teaching and learning perspective, is that the 11 Modules do not follow a uniform structure, a good portion of the audio repeats information unnecessarily, and the classroom videos with role plays acted out by TEFL staff are aimed at a level that feels far too basic. I also noticed errors in the written content of some modules. On the testing side, the word count restriction was often so tight that it discouraged giving a full answer, and I was left unsure how strictly that limit factored into marking. Is staying brief really supposed to be a key measure of performance, even above the substance of the response? Toward the end of my course, TEFL removed that cap, yet it still appeared during the reassessment stage. More broadly, I still do not have a clear picture of what standards were being used to judge whether a student can actually teach English. For instance, I would have expected diction and overall spoken communication to matter in that regard, but nothing tested those elements. Finally, a few test questions were worded in ways that were ambiguous or just difficult to interpret. If the TEFL institute would like more detailed feedback or practical suggestions, I would be willing to share them. PS. I also find the cost of the digital certificate extremely high. I do not understand why COVID19 would prevent a hardcopy certificate from being mailed.

I am so pleased to say I have finished and passed the Level 5 Diploma. The way each module ended with a quiz really worked for me, as it helped me see exactly how much I had taken in. I did find the assessments, especially the last one, to be quite challenging. I am really loving my TEFL courses. At the moment I am working through the 180 hour Level 5 TEFL, and I am also signed up for Teaching Business English, TOEIC, and IELTS preparation. I cannot recommend getting TEFL certified through the TEFL Institute of Ireland enough. My wide and I signed up for the 180 hour Level 5 course last year, and once we finished it, we headed off on a truly life changing year abroad teaching English in South Korea. Honestly, the whole office has been amazing. Whenever anything came up, whether it was course related or to do with our year abroad, someone was always there to point us in the right direction. Lately we have been in touch with Annelies, and she has been so quick to reply to emails and return calls, and she was incredibly helpful with all of our questions. I have just finished the 120 Hour online course and it was straightforward to work through. I have been a qualified teacher for 7 years and still came away with a few handy tips and classroom activities that I am keen to test out. Whenever I had questions, the staff were so helpful and usually got back to me by email or in their Discord channel within around 24 hours. All in all, this is an amazing TEFL institute.

I had a great time with the course I recently completed at the TEFL Institute. Everything is set out clearly, and the content feels genuinely useful and important. If you have been teaching for a while, it is also a solid chance to revisit what you already know and see where you stand.

The TEFL Institute provide notes that are straightforward, full of useful information, and laid out really well. The course is broken into modules that each cover a separate topic, with extra learning tools added in, like Youtube videos and images. Although everything is online, it is still very simple to reach them if you run into problems or have questions about what you are working through. There is also plenty of help when it comes to job searching, including guidance on interview prep and what to expect when starting work in different countries. On top of that, they share additional resources such as webinars so people can stay up to date on vacancies and any new information that comes out.

I did four years of Education at university, but I still had to get an extra qualification so I could teach English. I ended up enrolling in The TEFL Institute’s Highfield Level 5 Diploma in TEFL (180 hours), and honestly, it went over a lot of the same ground as what I studied at uni. The online platform is straightforward to navigate and it comes with plenty of extra reading that will really help you feel ready to teach. Update: I have now finished the 10 hour Teaching Methodologies course with Kate, and I really enjoyed it. If I was missing any confidence going into it, the small group set up and the way the course was structured complemented the Level 5 certification perfectly. We focused on the core skills new teachers actually need, and we also got to try them out ourselves without feeling pressured. Kate clearly knows what she is doing and offered helpful, constructive feedback so we could improve, while also reminding us not to obsess over every little thing as long as we learn from what goes wrong. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I recently completed the online Level 5 TEFL Certification course, along with the Business English and Online Teaching add ons. It felt fairly middle of the road to me, and since my main aim was simply to get certified, the TEFL Institute of Ireland did deliver on that. Still, I was frustrated by how many typos and errors showed up in the course materials and even in the exam questions. In my opinion, the program needs a proper, thorough review so those issues can be corrected. Trying to learn how to teach through something that came across as a bit messy and not very professional made me start doubting the content, and I found myself counting down until it was finished. The price is reasonable and there are plenty of optional specialty courses you can add to what you start with, but with so many TEFL providers out there, I honestly cannot say if I would recommend this one over a different school.

Honestly, I think the TEFL Institute of Ireland is fantastic. Big thank youu to you guys for such a great course, and for having so many different options to choose from. Everything is organised in a way that is easy to follow, and both the website and the mobile app are simple to access and use. We chatted rugby while he tinkered with the issue, got it fixed, and then he even gave me a gift certificate, all without charging me a cent. If everything worked the way the TEFL Institute does, there would not be any wars!

I am partway through a 120 hour TEFL course with this institute at the moment. They take it seriously and you can tell their aim is to educate people properly, not just hand out certificates. It might be online, but it is built so that you actually have to put in the hours and do some real thinking. If someone is looking for an easy tick box and a meaningless bit of paper, this is not that. What you get instead is a course with real depth that walks you through the background of language teaching, digs into how English works, and then keeps pushing you to think about how to move different learners forward, in one to ones or groups, in person or online, absolute beginners or more advanced students, kids or adults, and so on. I honestly think I am a bit too “mature” now to go chasing a job with it, but working through the material has sparked my interest in my own language again. I have really enjoyed studying the content, and if I am being honest, I have enjoyed the exam questions a little less because they are fairly tough. You are expected to know what you are doing if you want to pass. It is also worth saying there is a decent sized team at the TEFL Institute who stay involved and keep helping and encouraging you. Everyone I have dealt with has been very friendly and supportive, while also making it clear again and again that any hint of plagiarism means an automatic fail. I particularly want to mention Sórcha O'Connell, who very kindly nudged me back toward finishing when other things in life caused my study to stall. I genuinely thought I had lost my spot on the course and the work I had already completed, but Sórcha, in her lovely Cork accent, told me “not at all boy” and sorted it out without any drama at all. So yes, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants to get into teaching English as a foreign language. You will be giving yourself the best chance to be capable the first time you stand in front of a student. After that it is down to you and how you teach, but the institute will have done its part to set you up as well as possible.

I really enjoyed doing this TEFL course and I would definitely recommend it. Everything is laid out in a way that is straightforward and easy to follow. If you need support, the Discord forum is there and it is simple to jump on and get help, with staff and other students quick to respond to any questions. I also like that there is a good range of course options, with shorter and longer levels of study at different price points, so you can pick what suits you.

Sorcha was a massive help! I had some personal things going on and did not manage to finish my course by the deadline. Even so, Sorcha was really kind and gave me a brilliant offer so I could still reach my goals. The customer service was excellent, and TEFL ireland is a great platform.

I already did a 120 hour TEFL course with a different company, but I signed up with The TEFL Institute afterwards to take a couple of their 30 hour add on courses. Considering this industry talks so much about accommodating different learning styles, I was surprised to find it is basically endless blocks of written content. They include a few YouTube links, and they are not even made by The TEFL Institute, plus some of the videos are full of grammar mistakes. There is also extra reading linked throughout, but some of those pages no longer work. Honestly it comes across like they have thrown in a pile of external links just to pad it out and call it 30 hours. I got through two courses in about 8 hours, so I cannot see how they can stand over either the amount of material or the standard of it. At this point I feel I would be better off going back to my original provider, redoing the courses properly, and coming away with something that actually helps my teaching career.

I am working through the 120 Hour Advanced TEFL Qualification course at the moment and once my 6 months ran out I had to ask for a bit more time. When I got in touch with the TEFL Institute of Ireland, they were more than willing to sort it out and granted me a 4 week extension. I really appreciate how understanding they are and how much they try to support you. So far the course has been straightforward to follow, and the information they provide is the kind of thing you will keep coming back to during your teaching career. I finished the 180 hour accredited course along with the 10 hour teaching practice. On the plus side, I had a good experience overall, though I really think it is much better if you can combine the online modules with some face to face experience too. They also run some great sales on the courses and offer free seminars, so it is worth watching out for those. For the most part, it is excellent value. On the downside, I was surprised to find there is a €50 charge for a pdf copy of your certificate after you complete the course, so just be aware of that.

After taking my time with it over roughly four months, I have now completed the 120 Hour TEFL Course. Their online platform meant I could log in and get through each module wherever I happened to be. Everything was straightforward to understand, and I picked up plenty of practical ideas I can actually use in a classroom. That said, I feel the course could be strengthened with tougher assessments, not just multiple choice, such as lesson plans or written assignments, to better maintain a high standard for graduates. All in all, I would happily go back to the TEFL Institute if I decided to take more TEFL courses.

I’ve just finished the TEFL Institute of Ireland’s 30-hour Teaching English Online course, and it turned out to be a really handy short introduction for anyone looking to begin teaching online. It lays out the basic things you need in order to get going, and it also points you toward lots of practical resources, which is the part I personally got the most value from. It is a bit unfortunate they’ve since brought out a new 60 Hour Specialist in Teaching Online course, because I likely would have chosen that option instead, it seems like a great one. Still, I’m happy with what I took overall :)

If you are looking to get TEFL certified, the TEFL Institute of Ireland is a really solid choice. There are different TEFL levels available, so you can pick the one that suits you. The course is self paced, and if you fall behind you can request an extension. The staff are consistently supportive, and the one occasion I needed help, the TEFL advisor I dealt with, Sórcha O' Connell, responded almost right away and was genuinely very helpful.

I just enrolled in the TEFL Level 5 advanced diploma, and Annelies Veenhouwer was the person I spoke to beforehand. She took the time to reply to every question I had and made the whole decision a lot easier. Now that I have begun the course, I am really enjoying it. The materials are excellent, there is plenty to take in, and the support from the team at the TEFL Institute has been strong.

I finished the 120 hr online course last month. The 120 hr course was excellent and it really explained what is involved in becoming an online teacher. The module I enjoyed most was the one on the role of the teacher, especially because it looks at the psychology side of teaching. At the start, I had no clue where to even begin with an English teaching career, and I was unsure what steps I should be taking. Choosing the 250hr Tefl course turned out to be perfect for me because I wanted a deeper look into teaching English as a foreign language. The course is fantastic, not just because it gave me everything I need to get started, but because it also includes really valuable guides and examples on how to run a classroom, organise time properly, use materials and resources the right way, and create a good relationship with students. On top of that, the help and support from the Tefl staff has been amazing, especially Sarah and Ola. They have been there for every question I had about the course and they also supported me in getting work. They never make anything feel like an inconvenience, and there truly is no such thing as a stupid question! 😊

I really cannot recommend The TEFL Institute enough. Everything on the course platform is straightforward to get into and set up in a way that makes sense. Even though it is all online, you still have your own tutor available whenever you need to ask something. Each part comes with videos and tasks so you can be confident you have properly understood what you are learning. I’m so happy to say I’ve at last finished the [120 Hour Advanced] TEFL course. I say at last because it was something I meant to do ages ago, and somehow I kept putting it off. Working full time had me worried I would not be able to fit the studying in, but the course is put together in a really clear way and it let me work around my schedule. It took me two months to get through it, which I think is brilliant. So if you are keen to sign up but you feel like you are too busy and there is not enough time to complete something like this, trust me, I had the exact same thoughts, and it actually does work :). It worked for me. Here is the reason I decided to do it in the first place. Years back I used to teach English in Romania, and I was doing it in villages that most teachers would not want to go to. In those days, internet was not available in lots of places and there were hardly any teaching materials, and what we had was very basic. I loved teaching anyway, even if it could be tough at times. I kept wishing I had access to the kind of rich, practical support this course offers. Then time passed, I switched careers, moved abroad, and I left that part of my life behind. But every now and then I ask myself what I would want to do if I went back home. I can honestly say I would love to return to those villages and to those lovely, innocent children, only this time with proper training, different methods and approaches, and plenty of resources to use. That is exactly why I enrolled, and in the meantime I now know where to look for ideas and ways to keep improving my teaching, so I will carry on using all the websites and references. Review of the 180-Hour TEFL Course with the TEFL Institute of Ireland I have just finished the 180-hour TEFL course, which I worked through between April and July. Alongside it, I signed up for a 10-hour live practice session. Because there were not enough students enrolled during the summer period, that live practice had to be moved and eventually took place last weekend. In the end, it was absolutely worth waiting for. I found the 180-hour course to be full of solid content that held my attention and felt appropriately pitched for where I was at. There were plenty of areas that were new to me, but the explanations were straightforward and well structured, so I never felt lost. I also liked being able to both read and listen to the material. Having the audio option made it more enjoyable to work through and definitely helped the information stick. The only change I would suggest is making the module quizzes slightly tougher. Quite often, the sequence of the answers seemed to mirror the sequence of the questions, and it took away some of the unpredictability I expected. When it came to the assignments, I was genuinely happy with how flexible the exam conditions were. Allowing access to the course content and the Internet seemed reasonable, but I think introducing a time limit for completing and submitting the assignments might better match real teaching situations, where everything has to be done against the clock. Still, that flexibility did ease the pressure, which I was grateful for. I want to sincerely thank everyone at the TEFL Institute of Ireland, particularly Laura Graham, Olivia Klimczyk, Elaine Lenane, Jenny O'Sullivan, Jacob Thomas, Michelle Benson, and Rachel Hammond. The high standard of professionalism came through in how quickly they replied to my questions, the thoughtful guidance they gave, and the prompt marking of my assignments. Their support made a real difference and helped me finish the course and pass the exam within the timeframe. A couple of weeks back I enrolled in the TEFL 310 hour hybrid course, and honestly I was panicking because I had no idea what I was walking into. Then I joined the 10 hour virtual part and my nerves went through the roof again since I have never done anything like this before...BUT our teacher Michelle Benson was absolutely amazing 👌 From the very beginning she made me feel at ease 🙂 and even the first night was packed with information while still being really enjoyable. Everyone in the group was so nice, and by the end of the second and last day it actually felt a bit sad saying goodbye, which I did not expect after just two days, because she made it such a great experience. I feel way more confident now about what my role is and where I am going with TEFL, and I also finally properly understand the course itself, the modules, chapters, and all that. I had a great time doing the "30 Hour Teaching Young Learners" course. Everything is laid out in a sensible order and it is very easy to follow. What stood out to me most was just how many resources it includes, plus loads of practical suggestions for planning lessons for (very) young learners, as well as teens. I genuinely think this course from The TEFL Institute of Ireland is worth taking, especially at the price I was able to get it for. It is definately worth looking at whether you are only just beginning your teaching career or you have already been teaching for a while and simply want fresh ideas and activities to bring into your classes. I have taken other short add on courses from different providers too, but this one has been the most thorough of them up to now.

Choosing the Level 5 course was definitely the right call for me. Everything in the course content is thorough, but it is still straightforward to work through. Rachel from the TEFL Institute also emailed me with extra details that were tailored to me, clearly explaining all the rules and deadlines. Now I just cannot wait to finish it and get started teaching!

I have just finished the TEFL Institute of Ireland 120-hour premium course. It is made up of 10 modules: English Language Teaching, The Role of the Teacher, Organising and Managing Learning, Teaching Grammar, Teaching Vocabulary, Teaching Pronunciation, Teaching Receptive Skills, Teaching Productive Skills, Teaching English for Different Purposes, and From Course to Classroom. Within each module there are roughly 20 to 30 sections you work your way through, and you also have to pass a test at the end of every module before you can move on. I found myself completely engaged with all of them. The modules were truly interesting and useful, and they opened my eyes to a lot of things I either did not know at all or simply had not thought about before. What I liked is how well they balance theory with hands on, practical content, including video support. By the time you reach the end, you have, in my view, a solid set of tools that should leave you well equipped for teaching English professionally. I am even going to contact the institute to see if all the module material exists as a book because it would be a brilliant reference to have later. There is plenty in the content that makes you stop and think, and each module finishes with a thorough bibliography if you want to keep reading. I may take another course in the future, but right now I am very happy with the grounding in English language teaching that the TEFL Institute of Ireland 120-hour premium course has given me.

I signed up for the 310-hour Hybrid TEFL course yesterday evening (17th Aug 2021). I spent a fair bit of time searching around, narrowing things down, and then digging deeper into the final list (5 institutes in total out of all the options out there), until I was left with 3. What mattered most to me was the job market value of the qualification compared to what I was paying for it. From a beginner’s perspective, all three were more or less on the same level. That said, the reason I went with The TEFL Institute London over the other two came down to Ms. SARAH FOLEY, who guided me from start to finish. Her professionalism and knowledge of the subject really deserve recognition. Even more than that, though, I genuinely appreciated how kind, patient, and understanding she was with someone new to all this like me. I was firing question after question at her, and she answered every single one calmly and thoroughly, without ever losing that professional tone. She also rang me (which none of the other institutes did, or even showed that sort of interest in a potential student), talked me through the course, and cleared up anything I was still unsure about. I just want to say thank you to Ms. Foley for being both highly professional and genuinely very kind (not a combination you come across often these days). And I am also grateful to The TEFL Institute London for having staff like her supporting prospective students/clients like myself. If this is the level of care right at the beginning, then I feel completely confident the rest of my experience with The TEFL Institute will be just as rewarding with the other staff members and teachers. I am happy I went with The TEFL Institute London because deep down I feel I made the RIGHT CHOICE :-).

I attended a Teaching English in Europe webinar led by Jessica and Walter and came away feeling encouraged and that it was genuinely useful. The only thing I was left wanting was a bit more depth and a few more of the questions answered, especially around the actual process of applying for jobs in Europe, because a lot of what was shared stayed fairly broad. That said, considering it was limited to 45 minutes and there were so many people on the call, they handled it really well, and they also mentioned we can email them afterward with anything they did not get to, which I really appreciated. Jessica and Walted were both so kind, supportive, and very helpful throughout.

It goes through the TEFL fundamentals, and if you are starting from zero it is a solid way to get introduced to it all. Everything was laid out clearly, and it is set up so you can move through it in your own time. I would also suggest putting together a youtube playlist to get more hands on teaching examples, even though the course does link to a few. When I finished, I received my certificate along with a letter of recommendation. The one thing I was missing was more practical classroom or online teaching examples, but I am guessing that might be part of an add on course. Overall, for what I paid, it is a good course.

The end of module quizzes were a huge help, and the fact you can keep retaking them until you hit full marks is such a good way to check what you know and make sure it sticks. I am thrilled to now have my TEFL qualification and I cannot wait to see what opportunities abroad come up next year. I would absolutely recommend TEFL courses. They are fun, good value, and a fantastic thing to have for the future.

I signed up with the TEFL Institute in Dublin and have now finished the Highfield Level 5 Diploma in TEFL. I went with it mainly because it leads to a Highfield qualification. The course is 180 hours, completely online, and there was plenty of time to get it done within the 6 month timeframe. The price was reasonable too, and they regularly have special offers when choosing a course. That suited me perfectly because I could work through everything online whenever I had free time. The TEFL Institute kept in touch consistently about assignments and how I was getting on, and their communication was always professional and motivating. Rachel, my assigned Tutor, was straightforward to reach whenever I needed help. I found the content interesting but still demanding, and the assignments in particular really stretched me, though they were manageable thanks to the support available and the clear guidance on what was required. In the end, I am very happy with the course and with the TEFL Institute, and I would recommend it to anyone training as a TEFL teacher or looking to update their skills and qualifications. I cannot recommend the TEFL Institute of Ireland enough to anyone who wants to earn their TEFL certificate, it is a really great language school. There is plenty to choose from too, including the standard TEFL course along with Teaching Young Learners, Teaching Business English, IELTS Training, Teaching Online, and loads of other options. Everything is covered in a really thorough way across the courses, and it has given me a strong foundation for teaching English in a classroom setting as well as online. The team are always friendly, supportive, and ready to help whenever you need it.

I would definitely suggest taking a TEFL course through the TEFL Institute of Ireland. Completing the 180 hour course was such a positive experience for me. The academic team were consistently professional, and I felt supported the whole way through. Over the full 6 months, Rachel Hammond was there at every step with great guidance and steady support. Laura from the academic team was just as fantastic, especially when I had those awkward, tricky questions. She always popped up on Discord chat with patient help and kind encouragement. Feedback for Michelle in September 2023: I completed the 10 hour Virtual TEFL course this evening and it was excellent the entire way through. Michelle Benson is a really strong presenter and teacher. She kept everyone involved, made it comfortable for us, and took time to answer whatever we asked. Since I had only begun TEFL at the start of September, I also really appreciated how clearly she broke down the more difficult English verb tenses. I recently signed up to train as a TEFL teacher with the TEFL Institute. I used their website to get in touch and ask what the course would involve. True to what they said, an advisor, Emma Coleman, called me back quickly and talked me through everything. I have just finished the 180h TEFL Diploma that you take online. Everything is laid out really clearly and the whole thing is done remotely. They give you 6 months of access, and if you are organised and stay on top of it you could finish sooner, although there is a lot to cover. Each module ends with a quiz, and then after every three modules there is an assessment. The quizzes are quite straightforward, but you still have to actually know the material to score full marks. The assessments take longer, but they are a really good recap of what you have studied, and there are three of them in total. You can also take as long as you need with the assessments. On top of that, when I bought the diploma they included a free short course that I could choose. The TEFL team were quick and efficient and my assessments were marked fast. My digital certificate came through promptly as well. I would recommend it, but mainly for people who are committed and prepared to put the work in. The one thing I missed was having any real human interaction during the course, but the upside was that I was not tied to a schedule and could study whenever it worked for me.

I reached out to The TEFL Institute because I was thinking about signing up for one of their courses.
