Initiated in 1988, the Hermandad Educativa Proyecto Lingüistico Quetzalteco (PLQ) is a not-for-profit Spanish language school in Guatemala which promotes awareness of the various issues occurring in the country and provides aid to the families that are victims of these issues. We employ local Spanish teachers to bring benefits to both themselves and the students they are teaching. With all our courses designed for one-on-one lectures, we have lessons that include Spanish for Healthcare, Spanish for Social Work, Writing and Composition, and more, which are taught on-site and online. Students are also welcome to volunteer with us while having fun. Although optional, PLQ encourages its learners to live with Guatemalan host families while studying to fully experience the life in the country and to become aware of the issues in politics, economy, and society.
