Founded in 1828 as New Paltz Classical School, State University of New York (SUNY) College of Arts and Sciences at New Paltz is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and approved by the Trustees of the States University of New York and the Regents of New York State. Our mission is to cater exceptional education to our students from all over the world while allowing them to pay less. With more than 7,600 students from 45 countries, we provide 150 undergraduate and graduate degrees from the schools of Education, Fine and Performing Arts, Science and Engineering, and more. Our college also allows learners to experience the world with our study abroad programs in 120 countries in six continents. Students are not only dedicated to their studies but are also active in our clubs and organizations, recreational activities, and other pastimes that cultivate their cognitive and physical skills.
