The Czech Summer School (Prague) is an intensive course that focuses on language and communication. It strikes a balance between spoken and written communication, as well as between reading and listening skills, without overlooking grammar. The course is designed according to long-term experience in language teaching and is based on modern language teaching methods, corresponding to the Common European Framework for Languages.

The school has a 24-year tradition. About 70 people from around the world who are interested in studying Czech, regularly participate in the course. The school is designed for the general public, but every year, several students studying Czech at foreign universities and a number of professional translators are among the participants. The course does not assume any previous knowledge of Czech, although it always offers classes at different levels, from total beginner to highly advanced.
