SKIP - Supporting kids in Peru is a charity working with disadvantaged families in an impoverished district of the city of Trujillo, Peru. Our holistic program focuses on the educational, economic, emotional, and social development of each child and family. We aim to foster the capacity of children and families to be the principal agents of change in their own lives.
We believe in a Peru where each child realizes his or her full potential through quality education, economically stable families and healthy home environments. Because families are the principal force in the lives of children, we believe in working with the entire familial unit. This holistic approach focuses on four pillars of family development.
Our team is comprised of volunteers from the community of El Porvenir and Trujillo, as well as volunteers from abroad.
