SIM University (UniSIM) is the only private university in Singapore. It was established in 2005 as the first and only private institution for working adults. Classes commenced in January 2006 and started accepting students funded by the Singapore Government in 2008. Admissions were initially available for part-time students, but UniSIM began accepting full-time students in 2014 for undergraduate programs in Marketing, Finance, and Accountancy.
SIM University aims to offer lifelong education that allows students to respond to societal needs. We achieve this through 60 programs across four academic schools: Science and Technology; Human Development and Social Services; Business; and Arts and Social Sciences. Our academic calendar consists of January semester and July semester. UniSIM works with industry partners, such as ST Aerospace, Singapore Armed Forces, Motorola Solutions, Pico Art International, and Accenture. We collaborate with established organizations to co-develop activities, courses, and programs as well as to share expertise.
