Really enjoyed my time at SEETEFL. I feel equipped to go into the teaching world in Chiang Mai. I really appreciated meeting all the instructors, it was great to see everyone's different teaching stylesand also appreciated that feedback from the observers was always consistent with the information we were taught in weeks 1 and 2. It made me feel comfortable and prepared going into the OTPs. It was also great to teach in a diverse range of school settings and ages - this is a huge sell for the course. Thank you to Shouvik for his dedication and always being available for questions.

Very good TEFL course. I enjoyed it a lot and at the same time, I learned more about this profession and improved my skills. Feedback is really helpful as it mimics the real world experience when you are working with different people with diverse opinions and suggestions that will make you get used to hearing different outputs and adjust easily to the people around you.

Skills learned during the 6 OTPs surpassed expectations, especially in simulating the realities of working at Thai schools. I would recommend SEE TEFL to any interested persons without hesitation. Mentors are varied in their experience and teaching styles which was very helpful when observing the implementation of the PPP method. Mentors prioritised confidence building, which was key. The survival Thai lessons with Dr Ying were an added detail that proved extremely helpful. The reassurance of always having access to support post-graduation is perhaps the most helpful resource. Course was carefully planned and well-organized. It definitely helped me to build teaching skills and apply them in class. PPP approach was delivered clearly so any TEFL student can apply them in real-life classes. From the beginning, everybody was supportive and helpful. That helped a lot when adapting to a new environment. I would definitely recommend this programme. It was much more comprehensive than I expected.

I appreciated the time and effort given to each student on an individual basis. The staff at SEE treat you with respect and communicate very effectively what is expected of you and how to complete the course to the best of your ability. They value your time and want to see you succeed and walk with you throughout the whole process and also accommodate your needs.

Overall everything was well organized. We had lots of opportunities to practice teaching which helped build my confidence. The trainers are very humble and always ready to help. The staff are very kind to help us with any kind of assistance. I enjoyed the course, had lots of fun and definitely lots of learning.

Staff was incredible. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all material. Staff was also very personable and easy to come to with questions and concerns. Taking the Thai lessons during the course was immensely useful in simulating what the students in EFL classes would be experiencing. It helped me to tie together the things we were being taught and how my students would experience my class. Feedback was fair and consistent throughout all of the OTPs.

I enjoyed the range of schools visited. Great opprtunity to see many different environments. Overall the course has left me confident that I can teach a 3P course. Teacher and overall material very effective. While there may not be time available, I would have liked to learn more about how individual lessons fit into a large semester long learning plan (ie How to build content across lessons).

I had concerns regarding the legitimacy of the course, and how I would be made to feel like a qualified teacher after only 4 weeks. Those concerns were fortunately incorrect, as I have been overwhelmingly impressed with every aspect of my SEE TEFL experience - 10/10 would recommend.

I was extremely nervous about getting up in front of our class to start practicing different components of PPP and even considered dropping the course when I found out we had to do it. However, the way Terry explained to us we are supposed to be nervous and it really can be a terrifying experience at first is what kept me going. Now, I'm so grateful that I overcame my fear of speaking in front of my peers and I owe all that to him!

​Overall, a great experience, very positive interactions with the instructors. Instructors have great patience with students who don't listen or pay attention. Could have done an introduction of some of the observers to learn about their background before they give us feedback on our lessons. Worth the money I paid for this course.

Wow! What a program. They made us TEACHERS in just 4 weeks! The curriculum is very well-designed and the instructors are fabulous. I feel very prepared to teach in any setting, to any level (after zero prior teaching experience). I've grown so much as a person in the last month and have made lasting friendships. The school is beautiful and very well-maintained. Thank you SEE TEFL for changing my life!!! Oh, and also really enjoyed Ying's Thai lessons.

I enrolled onto SEE TEFL's internship course in 2022 and it gave me the skills, knowledge and practice needed to prepare myself for teaching in Thailand. The course was professionally delivered, and there was a great deal of support offered throughout my training but also during my placement. All the staff were incredibly helpful and they also made the experience fun too. I've not only gained the skills delivered through their training but I've also become much more confident in myself. This is an amazing experience. I highly recommend SEE TEFL.

I did my TEFL course in April 2022 (a few months ago) and I still remember how great it was. The staff is amazing, they helped in every situation, answered all my questions and were there for me throughout the whole month. I am a non-native speaker so I was scared before starting the course, but from day 1 it was super comfortable to be there and I got all the support I needed. Thank you so much for everything! While I have been teaching ESL/EFL informally for years, I wanted to get my certification and begin to do this professionally. After my research I settled on SEE TEFL as the best looking candidate and I was not disappointed! The classes were thorough and gave me a solid foundation to teach from and introduced me to some very effective techniques for teaching EFL, but the best part of the course was the observed teaching practices that gave me hands on experience in the local Thai schools. It was an intense course, but worth all the time, effort, and money I invested to attend. The instructors and staff are amazing people and excellent teachers. I also appreciate the assistance in getting set up to search for jobs and all the leads and advice they have offered. I would highly recommend this school!

This is my review of the SEE Tefl course in Chiang Mai. All in all this is a good course. The facilities are good and the training is professional. The school has access to a number of teachers and educators that do a good job of getting you up to speed with teaching English as a foreign language. The school also has access to local schools for onsite teaching work. This is an important part of the course as it allows the trainees to get that hands on experience. The 4 weeks are quite intensive - it is not really a course that you can just cruise through. They also have a guarantee of work in place - I can't speak to this yet as I have only just completed the course, but will update my review accordingly.

Through SEE TEFL I was able to gain the confidence and experience needed to kick-start my life teaching English abroad. The internship program was challenging but made earning my TEFL certificate very hands-on and self-reflective. It was an amazing and very rewarding experience overall. Thank you SEE TEFL!

SEETEFL in Chiang Mai was a great choice for my TEFL course. The instructors are experienced teachers who knew exactly how to prepare us for our teaching practice. Through a number of rehearsals they were able to guide us in how to handle the lessons from start to finish, how to deal with various situations, how to prepare our materials, how to communicate with the students, how to manage our time.. They were extremely helpful preparing the lessons step by step with us and discussing any questions and any ideas we had. We got a lot of practical advice and guidance to be able to go to real classes and have the confidence to do a good job. The whole admin and IT team of SEETEFL were also most helpful with all our needs. It was a great experience.

My boyfriend and I decided to change our career paths and become ESL teachers to travel the world. We had little to no teaching experience in the past, but it is safe to say that this course guides you through the exact ways to be a successful teacher. From lesson planning and worksheets, to becoming more comfortable and confident in the classroom, I couldn’t recommend this course enough! I especially loved the knowledgeable, but friendly, instructors and the Thai lessons were a huge bonus! Even after the program finished, you become apart of a community where you are always welcome.This class brought me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow in so many ways. If you are planning on teaching in Thailand, or anywhere in Asia, I highly recommend taking this TEFL course. You wont regret it!

My husband and I are retired and decided to take the course together, thinking that teaching English would be a great way to travel the world. We were a little nervous about being the oldest ones in the class but quickly realized that our age wasn’t a big deal. The overall experience was fabulous. The teachers were excellent and do everything humanly possible to make sure you succeed. Their patience and perseverance was remarkable! We had several job opportunities immediately upon completion of the course and would not hesitate to contact the school for future plans. Chiang Mai is a great place to spend some time and SEE TEFL is the place to go.

I couldn't have asked for anything more in a TEFL course: great facilities, experienced instructors, and outstanding job placement. Best of all, SEE TEFL ensured my understanding of Thai culture which made my experience as an English teacher much more enjoyable. The program covers the essentials for being an effective teacher and allows for numerous opportunities to be in front of peers before entering a real classroom. There's a strong sense of teamwork and support throughout the process. I was able to land a job one week after graduation and I know of many friends who did the same. This course is definitely worth it-such a great return on investment!

I took a TEFL course at SEE TEFL back in November / December 2009. When I first contacted them, they were fast to answer my questions but also to help me to prepare my trip over by giving me all the necessary information about housing, visa... When I got there, I knew straight away I had made the right choice. The school building and facilities were great and there was a very friendly atmosphere. Also, because I love travelling, discovering new cultures, the Thai cultural awareness day and Thai lessons were a big bonus for me. I couldn't hope for a better instructor than John, his explanations are very clear and instructions simple to follow. What I enjoyed the most were the observed teaching practices which gave me a lot of confidence to speak in front of 30 pupils or in public for a fact. Over the years, I was able to compare our training experiences with my colleagues, I can definetely say that SEE TEFL is really in the top best. I am currently teaching in France in language centre, preparing adults to the BULATS and TOEIC but John's way : fun and interactive, not the boring traditional way. I am so glad I chose SEE TEFL. SEE TEFL provided the most amazing and effective 120 hour onsite TEFL certification course. John Quinn, the director, and all of the teaching staff at SEE TEFL are incredibly passionate about their work and highly educated. The course was very professional and well organized. They always helped and supported each person individually throughout the four week course, making sure that everyone was fully prepared to teach anywhere in the world. After learning and using their Presentation, Practice and Production methodology in observed teaching practice lessons, I feel completely confident to teach in any classroom setting. The six observed teaching practices were crucial for gaining valuable on site experience. SEE TEFL gave me the opportunity to teach within numerous types of classroom settings and environments. Along with observed teaching practices, SEE TEFL focused on teaching in depth grammar lessons and the fundamentals of phonetics. Throughout the course we had numerous lessons on Thai language, which allowed an even deeper understanding of the culture within Thailand. They also organized a Thai cultural awareness day, which was an incredible way to learn about the history of Chiang Mai and the Lanna Kingdom. I am so thankful and grateful for this wonderful four week TEFL certification course. Everyone working at SEE TEFL made their building feel like a second home and I appreciate everything they did for me during the course. I would highly recommend choosing SEE TEFL as the starting point for an international teaching career. They provide the perfect foundation for gaining knowledge and understanding on how to effectively teach English abroad.

I completed the TEFL Certification with John and Ying at SEE TEFL in October of 2016. I would highly recommend this Program located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The course was run exceptionally well by two people who know Chiang Mai incredibly well. Before I even began the course, John was helpful in answering all questions I had about the program. Once I signed up to take the course, John was even more helpful in providing Visa information, as well an education document that allowed me to get a longer Visa for my stay. They also provide a couple of great options for long term stays close to the School. The whole staff and team at SEE TEFL made me feel like I was instantly part of a family. John, Ying, and the entire staff do a wonderful job of helping you acclimate to the culture of Thailand. They provide a Cultural Day, taking you through the city and to a Thai temple. It was a wonderful experience. They even include a few culture and language classes during the course. The whole class meets up the first week after class to bond and get acclimated to the city. The course itself is very well run. The course is a 120 hour TEFL Certification with 6 Observed Teaching Practices. Our class consisted of 20 students. That is the maximum number of students allowed in the course per month. Our instructors were very intelligent and taught the proper classroom teaching systems. They also gave us good lessons on English Grammar and provided in-depth training on classroom management. They provided us with detailed instruction on the best teaching practices and also provided us with great resources on how to create the appropriate lesson plans. Throughout the entire process, the entire staff is accessible to help with lesson planning and any other issues that may come up. They truly look after you and want you to do well. My favorite part of the Certification Process with SEE TEFL is the 6 observable teaching practices. SEE TEFL sets up 6 different schools for the teachers to come and give in class lessons. We get a good variety of age groups, from kindergarten all the way up to one on one lesson with young adults. These are all observed by the SEE staff and we received graded and detailed feedback as a group and then individually in smaller groups. This gave us great practice for going out and teaching. On the last day of class, they offer good guides for getting employment in Chiang Mai, including help with building a resume. This was a wonderful experience. It was also one of the better-priced options I could find anywhere. Chiang Mai is also an amazing place to live! I decided to teach in Vietnam upon completion of the course and I felt confident and well trained beginning my job in Ha Noi. You will have no regrets with this wonderful program and the amazing humans working at SEE TEFL.

I took this course in April 2014. I was a little concerned about finding a job after, as that was past hiring season. However, I found a job mid-course! It was my first time teaching abroad, and this course really eased me into the idea of teaching and gave me the foundations to work my way up. I have now been teaching abroad for the past 3 years, and would recommend the course to anyone who wants to work on their skills or who is teaching for the first time. I met a great group of people in my SEE TEFL class, and am still friends with some of them to this day. We all went on to find jobs very easily after the program. The instructors are very helpful and friendly, and a lot of work is given to help you find a job in Chiang Mai. The instructors know the area, and know how to approach schools and what to put on your resume. They give you plenty of in-class instruction time, and help you prepare and create lesson plans. The observations were a tad nerve-wracking at first, but it made my first day at my new job way less terrifying. Due to their helpful observations and feedback, I felt prepared in the classroom and knew what I was doing. I am considering coming back to Chiang Mai in the future, and know that I have a solid network of former teachers to help me out! Chiang Mai is a great city to live in- and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to teach in Thailand and isn't sure where to live. Thanks SEE TEFL for everything! :)

I took this month-long TEFL course in Chiang Mai, Thailand in November 2015. This program was fantastic. Before I even got there, the director personally answered emails regarding any questions I had, sent me all the information I needed to get the Education Visa in Thailand, and made sure I felt absolutely comfortable with where I was going and how to get there. They also provide and organize accommodation options (thought I simply found my own hostel in Chiang Mai - very easy to do). The program itself was amazing. The staff feels like a big, loving family towards each other, and invited us in to be a part of it. Not only did we sit in a small class learning about how to teach English (conducted in a very interesting, interactive way) but we also had Thai lessons in the afternoon to help us with the local culture. In the second half of the course, we actually went out and taught English lessons at different Thai schools while the teachers observed and graded us. This was incredibly helpful, as it gave us real-situation experiences and got us comfortable in front of an actual classroom. By the time I was done with this course, I felt confident that I had the classroom and lesson organization skills needed to teach not just an English class, but an EFFECTIVE and ENGAGING English class to a variety of levels. If you are looking at getting a TEFL certification, I highly, highly recommend this program. The staff is amazing, the school was well organized, and I gained the knowledge and preparation I needed to be a great English teacher. Thank you SEE TEFL for everything!

I did the internship program in september-october 2016. My overall experience was amazing. I left the TEFl course and headed to my placement school feeling confidant to teach in front of a classroom with no prior experience. SEE TEFl really makes an effort for you to understand the PPP method which I found to be a very moldable and basic teaching method. Shouvik, the instructor was outstanding. The facilities top notch and up to date. The only thing I was disappointed about was that you had to pay for your coffee. The two week course was intense, but worth it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS INSTITUTION TO ANYONE!

Having an in-class TEFL certification experience is probably the best choice for anyone going abroad. The instruction at SEETEFL is second to none and they are extremely supportive with any help that you may need after you receive your certificate. Thanks guys, Benjamin

My journey began with a desire to find an alternative to the humdrum of everyday life. Now, five years have raced by and I have never doubted for moment that my decision to become an English teacher in Thailand, with SEE TEFL’s help, was one of my best. Any trepidation I felt about living and teaching in foreign country started to diminish within minutes of being welcomed to the course by John, Ying and the rest of the SEE TEFL team. Their down to earth style and invaluable wealth of useful advice about everything from understanding local etiquette to the nitty gritty of English grammar is shared in a professional yet enjoyable learning environment. The course itself provides building blocks that enable anyone to create useful lessons from scratch, that teach specific grammatical and phonological concepts with ease. Once you have grasped the methods presented and built solid lesson plans you will be let loose on real students and provided with useful critical analysis of your performance so that you can improve whatever aspects you might need to. By the end of the course I felt confident enough to teach any age group, and able to seek work. SEE provided me with part time work initially, and when a full time position became available at a local primary school, they offered me the job. Despite sometimes unfathomable visa and work permit regulation changes over the years, I have never felt the need to worry. SEE TEFL have taken care of everything. For over five years, all at SEE TEFL have exceeded my expectations by a long way.

I received my TEFL certificate in the summer of 2012. It was my first time to travel overseas with the intention of staying and working there, and SEE TEFL really helped with that transition. The coursework was challenging, but not overwhelming, and the atmosphere of the program led to our entire class becoming good friends with one another. When we weren't studying together, we were often hanging out in the evenings or weekends, experiencing the city. One of my favorite aspects of the program is that we were expected to develop and teach lessons to classes of various ages. I taught to a kindergarten class (and confirmed that this was probably not for me), as well as some older elementary and middle school students. As for job placement, everyone in my class did in fact quickly find a job, and SEE TEFL was very helpful with finding job placements in Chiang Mai. Since I chose to go to Bangkok, they weren't as helpful with my job search, but it wasn't difficult to find opportunities on my own. If you plan to stay in Thailand (especially Chiang Mai, which in retrospect I wish I had), SEE TEFL is an ideal program, since they provide some Thai culture and language lessons, and it's a great way to build some strong friendships in your new home.

I did my SEETEFL last year in April, It was different to what I had expected it to be but different in a good way. While I had anticipated that getting the TEFL qualification would require putting my head down and focusing on getting the work done,though this was the case, with SEETEFL I felt able to do this while also still making the most of my surroundings. Much of this was due to the team of super supportive members who were always available to give a helping hand whether it was with the academic side of things or just advice on where to get the best pad Thai in town. Honestly felt taken care of from the beginning to the end of my placement. Would highly recommend it especially if like me it was your first time out in Thailand!

I took this TEFL course during the month of August 2015. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to take my TEFL course somewhere in Thailand and it was just a matter of selecting a company. After reading about different TEFL courses in a similar price range, it became clear to me that SEE TEFL was the right choice. This company had lots of positive feedback, a very professionally laid out website, and Chiang Mai seemed like a nice place to spend a month. Before I signed up for the course, I was in contact with SEE TEFL staff who I all found to be friendly and helpful. The course itself is very organized and you are given details about it and your coursework before you even arrive. The teaching methods and materials used are varied throughout the day, which keeps the class interesting. I signed up for this class with zero previous classroom teaching experience, but the staff trained our presentation abilities as the class went on with tasks that involved teaching in front of our classmates. I learned a lot about lesson preparation, classroom management, effective presentations, and essential grammar. There were also other fun activities to break up the day including Thai language lessons and a Thai cultural awareness day. When it came time to complete classroom teaching practices, I was confident that I could teach a class in a fun and controlled manner. The SEE TEFL staff were very supportive and gave me detailed feedback about each of my lessons that helped me improve myself along the way. The improvement in my teaching ability between my first and final class was huge, and now I am confident that I can make lesson plans and teach a class of any age. The course gave me the necessary tools to complete demo lessons with ease, and I now have no trouble answering teaching-specific questions for interviews. This course is by no means easy, and you will find yourself busy with teaching preparations after the first week. However, everybody works together to support each other and make it a fun experience along the way. I still keep in contact with some of my classmates. Whether you are a new or experienced teacher, I highly recommend choosing this for your TEFL course. My final recommendation is that if this will be your first time in Thailand, if possible come at least a few weeks before your course start date because there are many fun and new things to do in Chiang Mai. Also be sure to check out the restaurant across from Sakorn Residence on your lunch break!

I took the TEFL course at SEE in January 2015. Even before i started the course or planned my trip to Chiang Mai, John the Director of the course, helped me with any queries i had and put my mind at ease. When i began the course, all the staff were super friendly and always there to support us. The course prepares you for all aspects of teaching in Thailand (or elsewhere abroad) from lesson plans to classroom management and observed lessons. The cultural day is an added bonus and helps give you an insight into Thai culture and lifestyle. Even after i completed my TEFL course, the staff at SEE were there to support myself and fellow graduates in finding work. I now work in the wonderful city of Chiang Mai, teaching kindergarten at a great school....all thanks to SEE!

The experience at SEE TEFL does not end when you receive your certificate. Not only does SEE TEFL offer an effective and precise training program, but they continue to offer assistance and resources after your completion of the course. John is very knowledgeable in many matters here in Thailand and very punctual in responding to questions - he was 100% of my support network when I first arrived in Thailand. Ying is a very smart and efficient lady who coordinates so many different people and factors that it's mind boggling. The rest of the staff are very helpful and capable in taking care of things ranging from teaching Thai, setting up bank accounts, offering advice about the Chiang Mai area, and more!

I completed the SEE TEFL program in January 2014. Without this program, I never would have had the skills necessary to be a teacher in Thailand. Not only did we learn how to operate in a classroom, but we also learned about Thai culture and traditions that helped us to become better integrated into Thai society. I moved to Krabi to find work, and schools in the South were still very aware of SEE's reputation, which helped me to quickly get a job. I highly recommend this course!

SEE TEFL is a wonderful course, expertly run by professional, interesting teachers and administration. I had simply picked them from the web site, wanting to spend some time in Chiang Mai while getting my teaching certificate. What a great choice that turned out to be! The level of dedication and the interesting and enjoyable nature of the classroom time and coursework made it one of the best educational experiences I've had.

I'm currently working in China and have now been teaching for four years at institutions ranging from universities to language school kindergartens. SEE's TEFL programme not only gave me the necessary qualification but the knowledge and confidence necessary to do a god job. John and Ling were incredibly helpful at all times throughout the course. The course itself was thorough and hard work but John and Ling created a friendly atmosphere which put everyone at ease and I made some great friends on the course which made the experience all the more memorable. I learnt how to structure and present lessons in a clear intelligible manner as well as reinforcing my knowledge of the English language and its myriad rules and minefields. This was equally important as students often ask teachers questions about grammar rules that native teachers take for granted but find it hard to explain! On top of 6 teaching practices in various public schools for various ages and abilities the course also offered the opportunity to teach one-on-one lessons and mark students' work. All invaluable experience to apply for a job with full confidence. Lastly, Chiang Mai is a great place to live or just visit for a month while completing the course!

I have great memories of time on the SEE TEFL course in Chiang Mai. John and Ling created a great atmosphere that felt very team orientated and conducive to idea sharing and mutual support between fellow students. The course itself felt comprehensive and with focus many different aspects of teaching. It included practical experience teaching students on a one-on-one basis and analyzing students' work for grammar and vocabulary problems as well as the more traditional observed teaching practices. The lessons on Thai culture and language were also great fun and were a great help making me feel more comfortable and at ease in a new country. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested!
