Road2Argentina is a small company, but is always ready to help, 24/7. They offer internships, housing, activities and guidance before and during the program. They helped me with any doubts and made sure everything was ready on time. Will and Simone are always friendly and they make sure you enjoy your experience abroad. If you hesitate, just do it and experience something unforgettable. Definitely worth it!
The last time I did several things for the first time
Submitted by Georgia Green - DePauw University | May 08, 2018
My experience in Argentina was full of firsts: the first time I traveled outside of the US, the first time I was immersed in a culture that did not speak my native language, the first time I ever took a cab...and Road2Argentina made these firsts a little less scary. From start to finish, they are there to address any concerns and answer any questions you have (naturally I had several). But most of all, they make you feel comfortable in a new, at times intimidating, environment. They perfectly balance a focus on building a community amongst other interns and volunteers through frequent events and excursions, which also provide opportunities to learn about and immerse oneself in Argentine culture, while simultaneously allowing you space to establish your own independence and unique experience abroad through your internship/volunteer placement and housing. I wish I could adequately put into words how much this experience has meant to me with regards to gaining traveling experience, the growth of my Spanish-speaking abilities, and above all, my independence and confidence in myself, and none of that would have been gained if it weren't for Road. Needless to say, Argentina is a beautiful country full of vibrant, passionate people, and if you have any inkling of interest in traveling, interning or volunteering there, contact Road2Argentina.
Internship at NGO in Buenos Aires
Submitted by Miranda Katz - George Washington University | May 01, 2018
R2A helped me 100% throughout my entire experience! Before I arrived in Buenos Aires, Will and Simon answered every last one of my questions (and there were a lot of them!). They set me up with an amazing internship at an NGO in Buenos Aires, helped me communicate with the organization before my arrival, and even accompanied me to my first day of work. They helped me figure out how to use public transportation, scheduled amazing activities for us each week, and were always available to help participants at any hour of the day. The program was very personalized and flexible and I would highly recommend R2A to anyone thinking about interning in Buenos Aires!
Cool Buenos Aires hospital internship

I came to Buenos Aires for a summer and it was the best! I worked in a public hospital there and had a great experience. I rotated through different specialties and was able to improve my Spanish skills. The coordinators with Road2Argentina were extremely helpful and set up fun events each week. It was a great way to see different parts of the city and meet new people.
An Incredible Experience

This semester abroad with Road2Argentina has been some of the best few months of my life. Professionally, my internship placement and project were very relevant to my fields of interests. I got to pursue a personal project and really learn a lot about the topic. The work environment was great and my colleagues have all been friendly and welcoming. I gained a lot of language experience and loved the Spanish classes Road provided so much that I elected to stay a full month in the classes! The program coordinators, Will and Simon, have been incredibly supportive and welcoming, and I am very grateful for all the help. Buenos Aires really came to feel like home, and the friends I made through this program and Spanish classes were a significant part of that. I've gotten to explore surround cities and attractions as well. My host accommodation was very welcoming and comfortable. Overall it has been an amazing experience and I have no regrets about choosing R2A. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested.
Great times in a great city

I enthusiastically encourage the program to prospective travelers. Both of volunteer placements, as an english teacher in a school and as a after school tutor, were a good fit. I got to work personally with the students and interact with my Argentinian co-workers and co-volunteers. I liked seeing what everyone else in the program was doing and share experiences.
The directors are great and I always felt taken care of. I felt like I immediately joined a group of foreigners and natives and it was a lot of fun! The city is a rich cultural experience and the country is beautiful. I also highly recommend studying Tango while here.

Before I tell you how wonderful R2A is, I feel like I should first give you some background information about myself. My name is Tiffany and I had never traveled outside the USA. My biggest travel excursion has been up and down the east coast (Florida to New York) I had never traveled alone. I have never been on an airplane. I never had a passport. HOWEVER, I did it, and succeeded! I was in Buenos Aires for two months volunteering for Pillares which is an NGO that works in Villa 21-24. My main goal for coming to BA was to gain confidence in my Spanish.I could speak it and understand it but never had the confidence to say I was fluent. While I was planning my trip R2A was AMAZING! As a first time traveler, you could guess I had questions about everything! I had a pretty long email feed with R2A filled with questions and everytime they responded they were so nice and helpful. They always got back to me so quickly and really made me feel comfortable with my decision to go on this big adventure! Then when I got to BA I couldn't believe the amazing home I was staying in! The family was so welcoming and wonderful. My first full day in BA R2A took me everywhere I needed to go, and showed me how to get to my internship sites! I felt so at ease because I was given my own mini field trip tailored just for me. After that day I knew I would be fine because Will and Simon were SO helpful and understanding! Now that I have completed my 2 months in BA I am so over joyed with my personal growth and the connections I have made with the other roadies! Overall, I say R2A is literally the best program out there and if I could do it, so could you!
