You will also gain direct experience by working alongside skilled medical professionals and learn how the profession works in a developing country. As a Midwifery or Nursing intern, your role will be mainly observational, but if you are enthusiastic and integrate well into the team, you may be given more responsibility. Our Nursing/Midwifery internships are based in Dar es Salaam and Arusha.
Program Highlights
Be a part of a hands-on medical experience in Tanzania, on a midwifery internship, where you get to interact with local doctors and patients.
You will provide medical care to remote communities, while practicing your skills with local staff.
You will either be in Arusha or Moshi, surrounded by green vegetation and experiencing the wildlife on beautiful safaris, while living with a host family.
