The foundation of a Nursing project is observing and shadowing local nurses, sitting in on consults, going on rounds, and observing different procedures. Interns are paired up with a local nurse who is their supervisor. There is also a medical outreach component in which a few volunteers go out to a school, orphanage, or care center to do medical check-ups, treat minor wounds and injuries, and lead public health campaigns focusing on personal hygiene.
