Projects Abroad works closely with an independent NGO that strives to impact the lives of those who are most vulnerable. They work directly with the local communities assessing the needs and putting strategies in place in order to overcome difficulties in the areas of education, community health, counseling, legal aid, and socio-economic empowerment.

Interns work alongside qualified and passionate individuals in and around the town of Arusha in northern Tanzania. Even though the placement helps a wide variety of people, their priority lies with women and children, specifically single mothers, orphans, and at-risk youth. You will be given the opportunity to broaden your skills while also making a real contribution to people's quality of life.

This Human Rights project offers interns the unique opportunity to get involved at a grass roots level. Many communities in Tanzania still live in poverty. The organization we work with focuses on creating programs which help individuals in the battle against ignorance, diseases, poverty, HIV and AIDS, and environmental degradation.
