The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Volunteer Service Office runs a program dedicated to inspiring volunteerism nationwide. Through recruitment, engagement, and recognition efforts, the program encourages individuals to contribute their time, skills, and resources to aid those in need. Volunteers play an important role in all PRC services, from disaster response to community health initiatives.

Central to this initiative is the Red Cross 143 Program, a community-based effort empowering local leaders and teams. Each RC 143 group consists of a leader and at least forty-three members, forming a strong network of capable and caring individuals. Through this program, volunteers learn to anticipate risks, plan for emergencies, and implement effective community-based disaster preparedness measures. RC 143 fosters collaboration, self-reliance, and a spirit of service, enhancing community resilience and solidarity.
