I learnt a lot about the culture

I learnt a lot about the culture and the way people lived out there. I had a lot of fun going to different events - I witnessed a funeral, went to the last day of school and joined in with the musicians in a performance at a social centre in Accra. I would have liked to be able to have done a performance at the end of it or something more meaningful than a video. I am aware I was the only student there at the time though. I think it would've been better if there was another Westerner there. As a 19 year old it was quite hard to be the only English person living in a large family's home for 3 weeks. It was a good experience but I didn't feel informed enough of what I was to expect when I got there. Also, the fact that I was the only one there made it a lot harder which I was informed about before I left so it is partly my fault.
