Based on the friendly sunshine coast of West Africa, this project supports an award-winning NGO in the training and promotion of small tourism businesses. The Association of Small Scale Enterprises in Tourism (ASSET) was founded in 2000 to promote and bring together active small enterprises in support of the Gambia's tourism industry. Volunteers can stay for as long as 4 weeks, but can also join placements for as short as 2 weeks to a maximum of 3 months. They work with ASSET or with one or more of its members.
