The University of Mumbai (formally known as University of Bombay and informally called Mumbai University) is one of the first state universities of India and the oldest in Maharashtra. Established in 1857 as a consequence of Wood's Education Despatch. We have two campuses – a 243-acre campus in Vidyanagari and a 14-acre campus at Fort. We also have subcampuses and centers – 20 acres in Ratnagiri, 6.5 acres in Thane, and 6.26 acres in Kalyan, with 60 university departments and institutes, and 749 affiliated colleges.
We have established our name in industrial and international collaborations and runs various professional courses. We have always given our best to the country and to the city of Mumbai, enthusiastically shouldering an ever-growing load of social values and opportunities. We offer Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate courses, as well as diplomas and certificates in many disciplines.
