Meddeas

I've had the time of my life in the two years I have had as a Language Assistant with Meddeas. I've lived in two different cities, Pamplona and Madrid, and had a really great experience in both for different reasons. This has allowed me to experience so much of Spain which has opened my eyes to just how varied the Spanish culture can be from region to region. The team are very responsive when you have an issue, and you will never be alone. You're always a tap away from contacting other language assistants on the facebook page. Both in your city and other parts of Spain whether you're looking for a travel buddy, some friendly advice, teaching ideas and more. Meddeas is a great programme for everyone who is looking to broaden their horizons, get a foot in the language teaching door, learn many new things and experience the wonder of Spain at it's finest. I would 100% recommend.

My experience as a language assistant in Spain has been absolutely incredible and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Meddeas is the program that I went through and they have been nothing short of amazing. As the program is Spanish, my expectations were that things may be a little slow, perhaps not as organised as I was used to, and that I may have to be quite independent in organising everything - I was so pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case at all! Everything was organised punctually, professionally, and they have given such a high level of support that I have felt completely looked after and supported in every aspect. The staff are so kind and helpful and will do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and explain everything needed about the process. I have had zero issues whatsoever and every little thing has gone as smoothly as possible. I would definitely recommend going through Meddeas if this is something you are considering doing!

I think the program is great because they match you with a region and school and an opportunity that works for you, for example they have extensive questions regarding what age group you would prefer to teach. The compensation for the program is high and enough to get you by comfortably in Spain. The support services are also great with Meddeas. Overall, a great experience.

I'm so glad I found the Meddeas program and was placed here in Barcelona, Spain. I had friends who were interested in teaching abroad tell me about some other programs they decided to apply to, but I was confident in my decision to apply to Meddeas because of all the good things I had hear about them, and I am honestly so glad I did. The Meddeas support team is really incredible- they respond to your questions/concern in a very timely manner and really do work hard to make sure you are successful. They even found me an appointment to renew my TIE (tarjeta extranjera) which is near to impossible in a city like Barcelona so I was so grateful for that. If you are interested in becoming a Language Assistant and are researching and comparing all the programs (because there are many) I really would recommend you to choose Meddeas. I have seen first hand how on top of everything they are!!
