The Rosario Gagliardi Fine Arts Academy in Syracuse, Sicily, is an internationally accredited academy of fine arts that works at the intersection of design, art, craft, and local cultural traditions. The MADE Program (Mediterranean Arts and Design program) is a new project of the academy.
We offer a wide array of programs comprising a broad curriculum of Design (graphic, fashion, sound, theater, product, and interior), Fine Arts (painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography), Liberal Arts (art history, history, museum studies, cinema, literature, Italian culture), and Italian language, taught by an exceptional faculty who are drawn from professional designers, artists, and university professors.
We also offer a broad range of extracurricular activities, which include sports, such as sailing, diving, kayaking, and kite-surfing, and field trips throughout Sicily and the Italian peninsula. Courses are taught in English, unless otherwise requested. Translation services are provided as needed.
Practicum and field trips to main sites of interest and museums are an integral part of each course.
