Mabira Forest Camp, also known as Griffin Falls Camp, is a program under the Mabira Forest Integrated Community Organisation (MAFICO), an NGO aimed at improving local community welfare and livelihood through environmental conservation and development. The Camp is located on the edge of a wide trail system in Mabira Forest - a rainforest and protected reserve area in Buikwe District, Uganda. We offer activities that suit diverse interests, from hiking through the pristine forest to swimming in Griffin Falls. Our guests at the camp do not just enjoy a relaxing time, but they also contribute indirectly to MAFICO’s projects through the money they spend with us. Our profits go to sustainable development projects in and around Mabira Forest, as well as to our partner communities. Proceeds go to activities like water and sanitation, HIV/AIDS positive living, education and awareness, and tree planting.
