Midwifery Program in Morocco

This essential program places volunteers (and interns) right where help is needed. Participants experience a new country and culture while gaining first-hand insight and developing useful skills in midwifery. Internships are available within local hospitals and arranged based on individual skills and experience. Once on-site, interns can expect to work alongside local medical personnel and have the opportunity to shadow and observe their work. They receive supervision and ongoing assistance from hospital staff. While this isn't a hands-on position, interns may aid in births and learn greatly from these experiences. They may also take on a more active role depending on their training. They may be assigned more hands-on responsibilities if proven ready and competent.
