Special Needs and Disability Volunteering in Tanzania

We invite you to join us in Arusha and Dar Es Salaam for our unique special needs and disability program—one of our rewarding volunteer opportunities. Volunteers understand that special needs centers for children are a fairly new concept in Tanzania. Only a few exist and most don’t have qualified caretakers and teachers, plus they lack learning equipment. Children do not stay in these special needs centers; they arrive in the morning and return home in the evening. The centers lack skilled personnel and relevant equipment to deliver the special care and attention needed to provide kids with a stimulating environment.
