Spend an exciting and enriching year working in Sweden! We offer paid placements in agriculture or horticulture, along with accommodation. You’ll stay with a screened host family who will welcome you into their home. We also assist with accessing a work permit! Departures are flexible, from March until summer, and placements last from 3-12 months. Tailor the program duration to fit your busy schedule at home. Applicants must be Canadians, 18-35 years old, in good health, possess a driver’s license and a passport, are flexible and open-minded, and have a good work ethic and sense of adventure. One year of practical experience or education in your chosen placement type is preferred. Applicants must be able to drive a tractor.

Grooming horses in Sweden!

My main duties were grooming and preparing the horses for training sessions with their respective riders, cleaning tack, and daily chores such as turn-outs and feeding. My hosts and co-workers were very kind and helped me learn more about overall horse care and the industry/sport of dressage. I even was able to do some riding at my placement! I was very close to the ocean so I was able to enjoy the near by beaches on my days...
