Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave (Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave - IPCA) is a public institution of higher education located in Barcelos, Portugal and founded in December 1994. We aim to promote humanistic and reflective thought, to stimulate research and cultural creation, and to contribute toward societal development. We provide knowledge at a national and international level, encouraging mutual relationships and employability within the community.
IPCA has three Schools - Management, Technology, and Design - that offer a wide selection of courses and programs. There are non-degree courses, Bachelor degrees, Professional Masters, and Professional Higher Education Courses. Our training encompasses distance learning, after-work, and daytime classes, highlighting our goal to suit the learning needs of students with jobs. We also offer training to students from other countries through our International Relations Office.
