Design Experience Summer Course - IED Madrid

The English-taught Design Experience Summer Course is an intensive, full-immersion, practice-based learning experience in the different fields of contemporary design. Starting in June and lasting three weeks, each week focuses on a particular discipline, including workflows, history, context, and techniques.

As part of the learning process, you'll develop a specific weekly project to gain an intimate understanding of each field. First, you'll take a close look at graphic design and visual communication, and conclude with a visual communication project.

In the second week, you'll step into the world of product and interior design. After a brief introduction to the history of furniture and Design Thinking, you'll develop your own home design project.

The third week focuses on fashion design. You'll learn the importance of concept development, different fabrics, and the industry’s sustainable future. You'll have the chance to create your own prototype.

This short course is a great opportunity to explore the ins and outs of various design languages, both in theory and in practice. If required, course organizers may ask for your CV as part of the selection process.
