Couldn't have asked a better experience!

I honestly could not have better things to say about ICB Experience. From the beginning of the application process to leaving beautiful Barcelona at the end of the program, Eda, the program coordinator, took so much care and thought into tailoring my experience to what I wanted to do and see, and made me feel so at home.
First off, the location of this program in the heart of Barcelona is an incredible experience itself. Barcelona is a beautiful, bustling city full of culture, history, and charm. The Spanish people are always so warm and friendly, and you're sure to fall in love with everything about Barcelona. I personally had the opportunity to walk through the famous Park Guell every day on my way to work and would always see where the city met the edge of the sea..it was absolutely incredible.
Experience-wise, Eda did an incredible job of sharing Barcelona with us. We learned so much about the city's history and culture, and did so many things within Barcelona itself, including taking Spanish classes, going on a delicious tapas tour, experiencing Barcelona night life, having a picnic at Montjuic, and climbing to the top of Bunquers del Carmel, which had the most breathtaking view of Barcelona. She also organized a series of trips to go to destinations outside of a Barcelona--I had the opportunity to see Tarragona and Montserrat, two incredibly different cities that were equally beautiful and equally rich in history and culture.
Professionally, since ICB Experience is a network of small businesses in a Coworking space, you get to come into contact with business owners of various different fields, and it's incredible to see how these businesses develop strong relationships and work with each other. ICB experience expanded my network of friends, entrepreneurs, and mentors to include a vast network of professionals and people from all over the world and different backgrounds, and I couldn't be more grateful. I worked at Enrédame Comunicación, a marketing communications agency, as a graphic designer, designing websites and branding materials for clients, and was sad to leave my two month internship at the end of it all, after having become close with my coworkers and mentor.
Looking back now, I'm so grateful to had the opportunity to see and live in Barcelona through ICB Experience. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, I'm grateful to have met so many wonderful people who continue to be friends today, and couldn't be happier to have been able to call Barcelona home :)

I truly believe my experience at Gracia Work Center was life-changing. It was not a typical internship of fetching coffee for staff members and doing low-level jobs. I was challenged each and every day with tasks related to marketing. Even more, I was continuously inspired by the motivated and successful entrepreneurs around me. It was an eye-opening experience as I saw first hand the endless possibilities of the international business world, and learned about emerging professions and opportunities for small businesses. Interning in a stimulating workspace is unique in how it is filled with hardworking people who are not competitive with each other, but rather work together as like-minded individuals. The team-work displayed in this coworking environment is influential in developing my own values as a working intern. I know that I will recall what I learned at GWC in all future challenges in the workplace. I cannot imagine a better place for an internship abroad than Gracia Work Center

When I got to Barcelona I didn't really knew what to expect. Everyone said to me that I was going to live in the best city on earth but I prefered to see it and judge it for myself. What I discovered was not only the best city but a city that everyone can call HOME. I had the best experience of my whole life and all thanks to the kindness of the people. From the man in the bus to my internship coordinator, everyone was just so nice, welcoming and helpfull that I actually felt like I was in my home town. Walk through the streets was like a dream, I heard lovely music, smelled chocolate wafles everywhere, found amazing food, and fell in love with the beautifull modern catalan facades.
The best thing though, was having an international work experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with one of the best professionals in the field and a great person, María Ramos. I came back to my country few months ago and this experience has opened me lots of doors. If you have the chance to do an intership in Coworking Barcelona, do it, you'll have the best time of your live!!!

This past summer I spent my time interning in Barcelona, Spain for Coworking Gracia. The experience was something I will cherish for the rest of my life! It was very rewarding working with people from many different backgrounds and cultures. The atmosphere in the office was very positive and Maria was such a thoughtful boss! She helped me find my way through the city by recommending places to visit and things to see. I was able to explore after work each day and absolutely fell in love with Barcelona. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who is interested because it is truly a once in a lifetime experience!
