To see the kids get excited about my lessons

What made my experience great is being able to work with different types of children that I usually work with in London. It was such a beautiful experience to see the kids get excited about my lessons and to see them really learn something.

An experience I would highly recommend for anyone with the time and opportunity to embark on such an incredible journey!

I spent 8 weeks at the GVI base in Ghana through the Teaching and Education program. First of all I want to express how grateful I am for the staff who worked there. They made massive efforts to ensure every participant felt welcome, comfortable and safe. Secondly I want to highlight how friendly and respectful the Ghanaian community was. There are few things better than walking into a school and seeing the children's eyes light up as you enter the front gates. From my time in Ghana I bring back core memories and treasured relationships with people all across the world. An experience I would highly recommend for anyone with the time and opportunity to embark on such an incredible journey!

Gvi Ghana Was Amazing, The Staff Were So Kind And Supportive. It Was Such An Amazing Experience. However, I Would Say The Website Does Not Necessarily Give The Whole Picture Of What You Will Be Doing As It Is A Little Misleading. In Terms Of Gvi Ghana It Is Almost Entirely Working With Children And So If You Don't Want To Do This I Wouldn't Recommend Going. However, If You Do Like I Did Then It Is An Amazing Experience And To Some Extent Wish I Stayed On For Longer. Also An Internship Didn't Feel A Whole Lot Different To The Volunteering.
