Experience Required



- Master’s or higher degree in finance or economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 15 years of directly-related professional experience, based in the private sector, such as a leading financial institution or investment fund, or a multilateral or bilateral development agency focusing on private investments, including relevant experience in low-emission and climate-resilient investments; other relevant profiles can be considered
- Expert knowledge of, and experience with, equity investments, debt/loan structures, limited recourse project finance, guarantees and political risk insurance, including for low-emission and climate-resilient projects
- Demonstrated ability to establish strategies, develop work plans, multitask and deliver quality work on time and within budgetary guidelines
- Strong financial analysis skills and ability to critically review complex financial structures
- Strong project management and evaluation experience
- Experience in technical assistance/grants is desirable
- Exceptional relationship and communication management skills
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently, and as part of multiple teams in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to lead, develop and manage multicultural teams to build talent for the future
- Excellent interpersonal, customer-service and collaboration skills
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of another United Nations language is an advantage.
