A Career-Changing Adventure I’ll Always Be Grateful For
May 20, 2025by: Dean Walters - GermanyProgram: Paid Internships in Fortune 500 Companies in ChinaI never imagined I’d intern at a Fortune 500 company in China before graduating. Go Abroad China made that dream possible. The application process was smooth, and I was placed in a tech company in Shanghai where I worked on real projects and got mentorship from experienced professionals. Besides the work experience, I took Mandarin classes, made friends from around the world, and explored Chinese culture in a way that felt immersive, not touristy. The program gave me confidence, skills, and a clearer direction for my career. If you're serious about growing professionally and personally, this internship is 100% worth it.
The Perfect Mix of Language, Culture, and Personal Growth
May 20, 2025by: Madison Vaughn - United StatesProgram: GAC Chinese Language Immersion ProgramJoining the GAC Chinese Language Immersion Program was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The language classes were structured but flexible, and the teachers were incredibly supportive. Living with a host family gave me a real taste of everyday Chinese life, and it made learning the language so much faster and more meaningful. I also appreciated the weekend cultural trips—they made the whole experience feel well-rounded and fun. I didn’t just learn Chinese—I grew as a person. Highly recommended!

A Launchpad for Global Career Success
May 19, 2025by: Finley Cross - SpainProgram: Paid Internships in Fortune 500 Companies in ChinaJoining the internship program in China through Go Abroad China was one of the best decisions I've made for my professional growth. I was placed with a Fortune 500 company in Shanghai where I got hands-on experience in real projects and worked closely with experienced mentors. The international exposure, structured support, and cultural immersion made this more than just an internship—it was a life-changing opportunity. I came back with a stronger resume, improved confidence, and a global network. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stand out in today’s job market.

I needed an experience totally different from what I would normally get back in Europe or in America, and so I looked toward Asia to get a fresh perspective. Naturally when you think of Asia, China stands out as an easy choice due to its prominence in Asia and the attention it is getting in the world.

I started learning Chinese back when I was a junior in high school and actually went to China to do a language study abroad language program, which was affiliated with my high school back in the U.S. From then, my trip to China really sparked my interest for an international future working career. So, last year I decided that I would go to China again and gain some much needed work experience, and an insight into China, given the fact that it is part of my university major. I applied for an international program as really a continuation from what I had already experienced during the time when I was in high school and first traveled to China.

Just like any other young person out there just out of university, the next step before actual formal employment is to take part in an internship to improve your job prospects and gain knowledge. I found myself with a particular interest in China and started researching what options were available, but ultimately the end result was to improve myself so that I could get the experience and move on further to some even better employment. Besides, I also needed a really fresh experience from the jobs that I have done back in Australia.
