For over three decades, the Roure Foundation has been a steadfast presence in Barcelona's historic neighborhoods of Sant Pere, Santa Caterina, and La Ribera within the Ciutat Vella district. This longstanding commitment has fostered an intimate understanding of the community, its residents, and the myriad challenges they face in their pursuit of dignified livelihoods. The trio of neighborhoods presents a dual challenge: aged infrastructure and an aging populace. The district's timeworn structures, lacking elevators and basic amenities, pose insurmountable barriers for those with physical disabilities.
