Fundación Omaere owns and operates the Omaere Ethnobotanical Park in Puyo, Ecuador, where it reforested starting in 1993 a 15-hectare cattle pasture. The park is one of the most accessible tropical rainforest sites that people from anywhere in the world can visit. We prepare natural medicine, promote ecological sanitation, and implement reforestation programs. Volunteers and researchers are welcome. Volunteers help to maintain the park and guide visitors. Spanish language skills are useful, but not obligatory. Volunteers who can guide in English, French, German, and other languages are also welcome. Volunteers can also help to prepare natural medicine, build ecological toilets in indigenous communities, and help to apply different aspects of ecological sanitation.
