Program Includes:

* Pre-departure support: You will have a staff member available to support you throughout your time preparing to go abroad. In addition, you will be provided with a detailed pre-departure email with information you need regarding your travel, preparation and destination.
* Accommodation at Amakhala
* Meals
* Activities on the reserve
* Project donation
* Reference letter and/or compliance with your college or university for course credit (upon request)

Not Included:
* Airfare
* Transportation between Port Elizabeth and Amakhala (Approx. 350 ZAR each way)
* Travel/medical Insurance
* Vaccinations
* Pocket money for personal purchases, excursions away from Amakhala, and pre/post project travel
* We do not have discounted rates for partial weeks

Experience Required



No previous experience or knowledge is necessary to join the Amakhala program. The vision behind the volunteer program is to provide people with the opportunity to give something back to the environment and have a life changing experience, while providing the reserve with invaluable conservation assistance.
