I had an amazing time traveling to Perth from New York. There is such an amazing change in culture and the way that people express themselves. I loved every single interaction, the accents helped a lot. Everyone would ask me, "Why Perth and not the East Coast?", and honestly I just wanted something different from city-life, and I could not be more pleased with that choice. The beaches were beautiful and if I could have stayed forever, I would have. Thank you for this once in a lifetime opportunity, I enjoyed every minute of it.

Studying abroad was one of the most valuable parts of my degree so far. It challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone, adapt to new academic and cultural environments, and meet people from all over the world. I gained a broader perspective on global business practices, improved my communication skills, and developed more confidence in myself. The experience has made me more independent and prepared for working in international environments in the future.

Perth welcomed me with a sense of serenity and calm, after arriving at Curtin University's campus I was moved by the vibrancy of the biodiversity and landscape, the local Raven's continuously grab your attention with their unusual calls and in your free time you are able to enjoy the variety of beaches situated on the beautiful coastline. Even though Perth may be isolated as a city it is certainly accommodating to students from around the world, being a student at Curtin allows you to connect with and create a close community with students from a diversity of cultures and backgrounds, My time at Curtin has been a very special experience, the memories I created here will stay with me and my friendships will continue into the future.
