Amazing Time
by: Anna Duong - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad in Greece with CYA (Semester/Academic Year)CYA was the most amazing semester abroad experience i could have had! The people i met were amazing and the fact that is was a cohort of around 200 people with program trips made it easy to get close to others in your program. There is definitely a diverse range of students who choose this program so it is relatively easy to meet others. The location of the program was very convenient and accessible to the city center and there were many immersion opportunities although I will say if you are loo...
The Most Perfect Study Abroad Experience!
by: Sophia Salatino - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad in Greece with CYA (Semester/Academic Year)I spent my fall semester with College Year in Athens and it was an amazing four months. The program offers numerous weekly and semester-long immersion opportunities, many club and volunteer options, exciting coursework relevant to Greece and Europe, as well as a special and tight-knit community. The program's field studies allowed me to experience to much of Greece while learning about the country's history, and the program's unique opportunities helped me to truly become immersed in Athens. Abroad in Athens
by: Anna H - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad in Greece with CYA (Semester/Academic Year)I loved my time in Athens, and CYA is a great program. There's a good balance of academics and cultural immersion. Athens is relatively budget-friendly, and the food is incredible. I enjoyed my professors and pushed myself o...

I chose to study abroad because I wanted to experience my studies in a drastically different setting from the small liberal arts school near my home that I had attended for three years. I felt this experience would allow for some perspective and growth.

I knew going into school I wanted to take advantage of study abroad. I hadn't previously traveled outside the United States, and the idea of finding a home in a foreign country was exciting. I decided on Greece because of the beautiful landscape, rich history, and theatre roots.
