The College for Creative Studies (CCS) was established in 1906, as the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is an institutional member of the National Association of School of Arts and Design. CCS is a private college which offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the arts and business. It focuses on celebrating the creativity of every individual student and shaping them extensively in their field of choice. The college’s mission is to create the finest artists and designers in the world by providing the best artistic education available, and therefore they continue to improve their academic programs year after year. CCS believes it is important that their graduates are able to “think, create, communicate, innovate, connect, and lead” upon entering the real world, so their programs exemplify these values.
