Take advantage of this internship opportunity in China, with placements in major cities: Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing. You will take on the role of a Junior Buyer, putting you in charge of purchasing and procurement.
For 2-12 months, you will take on the following (though not limited to) duties:
• Support local negotiations with our key vendors, as well as our pre-sale activities to gain a competitive advantage through getting the best possible commercial, financial, legal, and technical conditions from suppliers.
• Conduct reporting, sourcing, forecasting pricing activities, benchmarking and industry assessments to identify the best practices and implement successful processes and standard documentations.
• Work with the Procurement Manager and other Procurement Category Managers (IT, Subcontracting and Indirect) to identify, develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for China in order to deliver savings.
Contribute to internal process improvements and changes of the company.
Broaden your knowledge and skill in monitoring Procure-to-Pay process.
Use and manage the company’s communication tools, such as Blue Kiwi and Sharepoint, to promote products.
Keep updated with Procurement tools, such as SharePoint space and contract repository database.
Gain maximum exposure to Chinese culture through a range of organized social activities.
