A German guy says: !Muy bien! Excelent!

I went to Uruguay as a pensioner (60 years) from Germany. At the beginning I didn't know Spanish. I was assigned after a test to a small group (4 people) that had my level. The teaching (I was a teacher myself in Germany) was didactically first class. I felt very comfortable from the beginning. This was also true for my classmates from the other countries. To this day (even though, except for me) the others have returned to their home countries, we still have an intensive exchange via social media. Since I stayed longer and came at the beginning of the pandemic, it was refreshing how quickly "La Herradura" offered a professional online learning program, which I used a lot. To this day, I still have a lot of contact with 2 teachers, but also the female director. Sometimes we meet in a bar or I visit "La Herradura". PS. English is not my preferred language. I was unclear in which language the evaluation has to be done. Therefore in the language I learned at La Herrdura: Thanx for all - Jürgen +++Fui a Uruguay como pensionista de Alemania.

My job paid for me to go and improve my language capabilities. I was nervous at first because my classmates seemed to have more experience but we were a good mix of native speakers and classroom learners. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I go back through the photos often to remember my time there.

Great experience and amazing people

This language school is located in a neighborhood of Punta del Este close to the beach. You will be given private lessons with a young and energatic teacher. The housing and the classrooms are in separate buildings but both are very cozy and well decorated. Whenever there is a problem or want something to fix there is always somebody to help you. I would definitely recommend this Language school if you want to have a real Uruguayan experience and if you want to learn Spanish in an educated and fun way!
