Capokolam is a charitable organization registered in the UK with the Charity Commission. Established in 2015, we operate in the Northern, Central, and Eastern regions of Sri Lanka. Our projects are centered around educational English and arts programs, which are organized for marginalized children in communities dealing with the aftermath of civil war, calamity, and socio-economic issues. We bring volunteers together with local and international communities, encouraging them to share their talent and cultural views to help with the children’s rehabilitation.
We strive to mobilize the expertise of talented and committed individuals, along with local artists and educators, from different parts of the globe. Together, our organization and these people empower youth in Sri Lanka to foster lasting change. Our diverse roster of passionate individuals comprise of English teachers, educators, martial artists, dancers, Capoeiristas, musicians, athletes, and other professionals. No matter their expertise and line of specialty, Capokolam offers them a platform to share their passion while immersing in the local community.
