Social activities with at-risk children in Ayacucho
This Canadian Alliance for Development Initiatives and Projects volunteer opportunity takes place in shelters in the urban area of Ayacucho, Peru. International volunteers will provide service, creating coexistence projects that strengthen the desire to overcome the difficulties and the lack of values and self-esteem in these children. The volunteers will organize and support games, recreational and dynamic educational activities for about 50 children from 10 to 17 years old.
1. Gain experience in social work with at-risk children and teenagers.
2. Support youth that are in a state of moral and material abandonment.
3. Participate in cultural exchange activities.
4. Create educational programs for the children in the city of Ayacucho.
5. Learn about the history and culture of Peru.
