Program Summary

In this project, a group of international volunteers will participate in environmental protection and awareness activities in the city of Cosamaloapan in the state of Veracruz. Changes caused by human activities in the atmosphere through carbon dioxide emissions, so called "greenhouse gases," are affecting global climate. That is why it is really important to strengthen the student community's awareness, promoting responsible attitude towards the environment and sustainable development. The volunteers will help improve the environment in Cosamaloapan by reforestation, recycling and preserving green areas.

The volunteers' tasks include:
- Clearing the zone for reforestation
- Planting trees and plants
- Irrigation of the plants
- Tree liming
- Recycling inorganic material
- Renovation of green areas with recycled materials
- Painting walls
