Program Summary

Gain incredible international work experience while changing lives and making an impact through a medical internship in Ethiopia with Blessing the Children International (BCI).

Participants gain practical skills while also helping the children and families of Ethiopia. Interns are scheduled to work/train 30-40 hours per week. During your work hours you will shadow a local doctor or nurse at a hospital or clinic.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to attend a class in Amharic to learn the local language and help you become more effective in the community as you minister. Your weekends will be free for sightseeing, relaxation, and the opportunity to immerse yourself in Ethiopian culture. If desired, you may spend part of your free time doing home visits and getting to know the children from the community.

Standard internships are 6 weeks, 15 weeks, and 24 weeks, although we can customize your trip length and dates to fit your schedule.
